Developed by our Secretary David Shields Jr., the Long Island S.A.R. newsletter - one of the best newsletters published by any S.A.R. chapter - provides our members with a wealth of information and resources about what our compatriots are doing for the Long Island S.A.R. and our community. Issued on a quarterly basis for our members just click on the latest newsletter below and it will be downloaded as a PDF file on to your computer.

Upcoming Events
At all Chapter Activities below, the entire family is invited. The activities to Historic Sites will be an excellent time to bring your children or your children’s family, as well as any interested friends and their families. We are encouraging our friends in the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) and Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) to join us in these events as we celebrate our 100th year as a Chapter.
Cost: $ 5.00 includes admission to Theodore Roosevelt’s Home and a Box Lunch for everyone. Reservations are required and payment must be sent in advance. Included on the grounds is a self-guided nature trail, The T.R. Museum located at the Old Orchard. Also located on the site is the New Barn, The Windmill, The Carriage, Garden and Tool Sheds, the Stable site, the Pet Cemetery and Visitor’s Center. For reservations email: Secretary Shields

Cost: $ 10.00 for adults, $ 7.00 for seniors and children 5-12, under 5 free, to be paid at time of admission. Old Bethpage Village Restoration provides visitors with a unique and wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience life in a recreated mid-19th-
century American village. The 209-acre village includes an assortment of homes, farms and businesses. Each October, the village hosts the Long Island Fair, a traditional county agricultural fair that draws tens of thousands of visitors. For reservations email: Secretary Shields

Three Village Inn, Stony Brook, Notice and cost will be sent out in the Spring Newsletter.
Huntington Village Historic Cemetery in Huntington Town Center. Ceremonies will include the Huntington Town Militia, Local Politicians, Historians and will follow with Light Refreshments being served.
