A Junior member in the S.A.R. is defined as a male under the age of eighteen (18) who files the appropriate lineage and pays annual dues. The following describes how to apply. (For help with this please contact our C.A.R. chapter chairman Edward Burns, Jr.)
There are three paths for a Junior member to apply (You can also click here for copy of Junior Membership pamphlet.):
1. If you are current member of the C.A.R.: complete and submit to the Long Island C.A.R. chapter chairman Edward Burns, Jr.:
- S.A.R. "worksheet" (click here for copy of worksheet) of your ancestral background;
- Copy of your birth certificate;
- Copy of your "Member of Good Standing" card (click here for copy of card);
- Record Copy of S.A.R. or D.A.R. application - if applicable;
- Approved C.A.R. membership application (contact your C.A.R. chapter if you don't have a copy);
- Include checks covering required fees.
2. If you have a parent or grandparent that is already a member of S.A.R. or D.A.R.:
- Obtain a "record copy" of parent/grandparent S.A.R. or D.A.R. application;
- Complete the C.A.R. application (click here for application);
- Complete S.A.R. "worksheet" (click here for copy of worksheet);
- Provide copy of your birth certificate;
- Include checks covering required fees.
3. If you are joining for the first time: You must file for concurrent membership with the C.A.R. and S.A.R.:
- Complete the C.A.R. application (click here for application);
- Complete S.A.R. "worksheet" (click here for copy of worksheet);
- Provide "record copy" of parent/grandparent S.A.R. or D.A.R. application, if applicable;
- Provide copy of your birth certificate;
- Include checks covering required fees.
Please note: In all cases, the required dues and a completed C.A.R. application or a
certificate of good standing must accompany the S.A.R. Junior
application. All applications, certificates and supporting
documentation is to be submitted to our C.A.R. chapter chairman Edward Burns, Jr.
